The ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter, a marvel of engineering from Shandong Zhongziyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., comprises two integral components: a sensor and a converter. This sophisticated device operates on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and is specifically designed to measure conductive fluids with unparalleled precision and reliability. With continuous advancements, the ZYDC electromagnetic flow meter has set a national benchmark in excitation technology, lining technology, and intelligent technology. It proudly adheres to stringent standards like JB/T9248-2015 and JJG 1033-2007.

The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter varies depending on the site pipeline conditions. For pipelines without pressure, you can opt for flowmeters without a ball valve. This straightforward installation is ideal for non-pressurized systems.
Create a hole with a diameter of 50mm in the pipeline, ensuring preparations to weld a connecting pipe to this opening are in place.
For applications requiring continuous flow during operations or where media overflow is unacceptable, a ball valve is essential. Choose an insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeter with a ball valve structure for such scenarios.
Again, create a hole with a diameter of 50mm in the pipeline, and prepare to weld a connecting pipe to this opening.

For optimal performance, the straight pipe sections must be 5D upstream and 3D downstream. This ensures the electromagnetic flowmeter operates accurately and reliably.
The electromagnetic flowmeter's measurement principle is independent of the flow's characteristics, ensuring consistent readings.
If the non-measurement area of the pipeline (such as elbows, tangential throttling, or a partially open shut-off valve upstream) generates turbulence and vortices, they will not impact the measurement.
However, steady-state vortices within the measurement area will affect measurement stability and accuracy.
In such cases, measures should be taken to stabilize the flow distribution:
- Increase the length of the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections.
- Use a flow stabilizer.
- Reduce the cross-sectional area at the measurement point.
- Requirements for the External Environment
- Avoid installing the flowmeter in areas with significant temperature fluctuations or high-temperature radiation. If unavoidable, ensure proper insulation and ventilation.
- While indoor installation is preferred, if the flowmeter must be installed outdoors, protect it from rain, flooding, and direct sunlight with moisture-proof and sun-proof measures.
- Installation in environments containing corrosive gases should be avoided. If necessary, implement ventilation measures.
- Ample space around the flowmeter is essential for easy installation, maintenance, and upkeep.
- Avoid installing the flowmeter near magnetic fields and strong vibration sources. If significant pipeline vibration is present, support the flowmeter on both sides to stabilize the pipeline.
1.2. Pipeline-type Electromagnetic Flowmeter
2.1. Requirements for Straight Sections To mitigate the effects of vortices and flow field distortions, the upstream and downstream straight pipe sections must meet specific length requirements to ensure accurate measurements (consider installing a straightener and avoid locations close to control or partially open valves).
2.2. Requirements for the Process Pipes The upstream and downstream process pipes at the installation point must meet certain criteria to ensure measurement accuracy: a. The inner diameter of these pipes should match the sensor's inner diameter, adhering to the condition: 0.98DN ≤ D ≤ 1.05DN (DN being the sensor's inner diameter and D the process pipe's inner diameter). b. The process pipe and sensor must be concentric, with an axial deviation no greater than 0.05DN.
2.3. Requirements for Bypass Pipes: To ensure seamless and efficient maintenance of the flowmeter, it is highly recommended to install a bypass pipe. Especially crucial for handling heavily contaminated fluids and for scenarios requiring flowmeter cleaning without interrupting the fluid flow, a bypass pipe is indispensable. a. Facilitates flowmeter maintenance efficiently. b. Essential for processing heavily contaminated fluids. c. Enables flowmeter cleaning without halting the fluid flow.
3. Installation Requirements for Insertion-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeters
3.1. Requirements for Straight Pipe Sections: For optimal performance, the straight pipe sections should adhere to the following guidelines: Inlet straight pipe section must be ≥ 10×DN, and the outlet straight pipe section must be ≥ 5×DN.
3.2. Requirements for Grounding Points: To ensure the instrument operates reliably and maintains high measurement accuracy, it must remain unaffected by external parasitic potentials. The sensor should be properly grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 10. (If the metal pipeline is adequately grounded, a dedicated grounding device is unnecessary.)
3.3. Requirements for Installation Position: Refer to the accompanying diagram for precise installation positioning.
